Get Ready For Mother’s Day 2013
Mother’s Day always falls on the second Sunday in May, so this year we celebrate it on May 12th. A quick look at the calendar should nudge sons and daughters to start planning Mom’s big day. Instead of grabbing a last minute card and taking her to a fast food place, sons and daughters should consider putting a little more time and effort into the occasion.
Even those mothers who pretend they hate having a fuss made over them really enjoy the attention. Mother’s Day 2013 is fast approaching, so now is the time to make reservations at her favorite restaurant. Reservations for the great dining establishments will be filling up soon, so fast action is required. No mother wants to wait hours for a decent table.
Also, many people will be ordering flowers, so conscientious children need to place their orders now. Gift offerings at department stores will soon be picked over, leaving only those clichéd gifts of perfume and lockets behind. This Mother’s Day, a different kind of gift will make a wonderful surprise. Maybe she’d love a weekend trip or a gift certificate to a spa. Mothers spend a lot of time spoiling their children, so they’ll appreciate getting spoiled in return.
Mothers are also competitive, so they hate admitting that their gift is foot powder from drug store. Frankly, it’s embarrassing to be the mom on the block who got the worst gift. Yes, Mother’s Day is about family togetherness, but a nice gift for Mom makes things better.
Turn around twice and Mother’s Day will be here. Smart children will make their plans now, so they won’t come up short on May 12th.
Mother’s Day 2013 is on May 12th, and time to prepare for it is growing short.
